Horsing around

We think it is strange how the universe works, but really if you're open and ready the guidance and direction will come and make sense.  Granted it may take some time, like years, but it does come.  Take me for example, I have been crazy in love with horses since I was a very little person.  I would dream of horses in detailed ways that would show you how obsessive I can be.  I would sit on the bed or in a tree and dream of what my horses would look like, how many, the barn, the tack, etc.  As I got old enough to read I would read horse magazines, tack catalogs and barn building books.  I would cut out what I wanted and how it would be organized.

You get the picture, I never owned a horse until I was out of college and had two kids.  I rode a lot of other folks' horses, groomed many for others to show, cleaned stalls just to be near them.  I love horses, they have been my trusted companions for most of my life.

Thankfully my husband is understanding of my condition and has helped me acquire five of our own now.  We have a small barn, my daughter loves them as much as I and competes in barrel races on her own horses that she trains.  I now realized that I have been destined to work with horses and share their majesty and intuitive nature with others.  I have coached and trained people in the normal fashion, but it wasn't until I moved to Washington D.C. for a year that I found my new chapter in life.  I met many different types of people and egos in D.C., believe me when I say that the world would be a better place especially D.C. if we all learn to speak with horses.

I'll share my life here on the Gallopin' Gator Ranch along with insights, our foodie events and of course the people that make it so special.  Stay tuned to some horsing around.

Peace & Love,

Lori
